May 2026 in numbers

In May 2026 Vela Cyprus registered 23 vulnerable children — refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. In total, 272 children have taken part in our activities since November 2025, most of them from Somalia, with 18 countries of origin overall.

The same month saw the first adult classes begin at PEAK.
